Michael Smiy is an award-winning director, cinematographer and photographer based in Los Angeles. Over the past decade, Smiy’s work has taken him around the world, directing and photographing icons of entertainment, culture and sport across film, commercial and editorial projects. As co-founder of Watchmakers Entertainment, he has built a career on a distinct visual sensibility and a collaborative approach to storytelling, working alongside artists and creative teams to bring ambitious visions to life. Away from the set, his personal work is shaped by PASSION PROJECTS, portraiture and a lifelong fascination with cinema, bringing the same considered eye to jobs of every scale.
